Transafe continues to play an integral role as the road safety auditor in the safe design and delivery of road infrastructure, local area traffic management, railway infrastructure, public transport, bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure throughout Australia. Some of the notable projects include:

Mordialloc Freeway
MORDIALLOC FREEWAY

 

The 9km long Mordialloc Freeway connects the Mornington Peninsula Freeway in Aspendale Gardens to the Dingley Bypass in Dingley Village with new 8km long shared use walking and cycling path providing an uninterrupted path from Aspendale Gardens to Dingley Village.

Leakes Road Palmers Road
WESTERN ROADS UPGRADE
 

The Western Roads Upgrade project were completed in early-2021, included upgrades to a network of 8 key arterial roads, including new lanes, intersections, ramps and safety improvements, and upgrades to strengthen 4 bridges and a pedestrian overpass. 

Princes Highway East
PRINCES HIGHWAY EAST, TRARALGON TO SALE
 

The Princes Highway East at Flynn & Kilmany East upgrade has added an extra 8km of consistent 2 lane highway, delivering a total of 43km of duplicated highway across the three stages of the project.

A range of safety improvements has been delivered including, wider shoulders and centre median with flexible safety barriers to improve safety by reducing the risk of run-off road and head-on crashes.

Barwon Heads Road
BARWON HEADS ROAD
 

The Barwon Heads Road upgrade includes 4km of duplicated road between Settlement Road and Reserve Road with upgraded intersections at Settlement Road and Breakwater Road, new traffic lights at Crows Road, Barwarre Road, Marshalltown Road and Reserve Road, and built 4km of new shared walking and cycling path and dedicated on road cycling lanes.

Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road
HEALESVILLE - KOO WEE RUP ROAD
 

The Healesville – Koo Wee Rup Road upgrade extends from Princes Freeway to Manks Road and will deliver an extra lane in each direction and a divided carriageway with safety barriers along the road, new traffic lights at Greenhills Road, new roundabouts at Hall Road, south of Deep Creek and Ballarto Road and a new shared walking and cycling path.

North-South Corridor
NORTH - SOUTH CORRIDOR
 

The Torrens Road to River Torrens Project will deliver a 4km non-stop roadway (incorporating 3 km lowered motorway), between Ashwin Parade, Torrensville, and Pym Street, Croydon Park.

Tullamarine Freeway
CITYLINK-TULLAMARINE WIDENING

 

The Citylink-Tullamarine widening project will increase capacity of the freeway between Melbourne Airport at Tullamarine and Bulla Road at Essendon North. The project is currently under construction and due for completion in 2018.

M2 Hills Motorway
NORTHCONNEX
 

NorthConnex is a 9 km motorway tunnel under construction in Sydney. It will connect the M1 Pacific Motorway at Wahrooga to the M2 Hills Motorway at West Pennant Hills. The project is currently under construction and due for completion in 2019.

Ringwood Station
RINGWOOD STATION & INTERCHANGE UPGRADE
 

Ringwood Station, one of Melbourne's busiest bus interchange stations, was recently upgraded. The work included a new concourse, lifts, reconfigured bus interchange and heritage work on the station buildings. It was completed in January 2016.

Moreton Bay Rail Link
MORETON BAY RAIL LINK
 

The Redcliffe Peninsula Line (Moreton Bay Rail Link) is a 12.6 km dual-track passenger rail line between Petrie and Kippa-Ring, including 6 rail stations at Kallangur, Murrumba Downs, Mango Hill, Mango Hill East, Rothwell and Kippa-Ring.

Legacy Way Tunnel
LEGACY WAY TUNNEL
 

The M5 Legacy Way is a 4.6 kilometres long tunnel linking the Western Freeway at Toowong and the Inner City Bypass at Kelvin Grove, in Brisbane. The project consisted of two bored tunnels carrying two motorway grade lanes of traffic in each direction. It opened in June 2015.

Koo Wee Rup Bypass
KOO WEE RUP BYPASS
 

The Koo Wee Rup Bypass is a highway standard road bypassing the township of Koo Wee Rup in Victoria. It links the Healesville-Koow Wee Rup Road to the South Gippsland Highway. The road opened in May 2015.
