ROAD SAFETY AUDITING

Road safety audits are a steadily increasingly requirement within the road and traffic engineering related industry. As our core business, we are able to commit to being completely separate from the design process for the purposes of ‘independent auditing’. We service statutory bodies, project contractors, and government and private entities within Australia and abroad.

Transafe also provides specialist road safety audits to the transport industry (e.g. route audits), and public transport departments and local Councils (e.g. tram platform stops, bus interchanges, bicycle paths, shared paths, DDA compliance).

Our transport and road safety audits are carried out in accordance with the latest Austroads Guide to Road Safety (Road Safety Audit) with reference to other relevant standards and guides. The Transafe team draws on industry practice and experience to identify potential transport and road safety audit findings. Our transport and road safety audit reports encompass pertinent issues only, removing the hassle for the project team to try and address irrelevant and peripheral issues.

Transafe’s accredited senior road safety auditors and audit team leaders are able to provide audits at all stages and for all manner of infrastructure and transport projects, including the following stages:

  • Feasibility Design, Concept Design

  • Preliminary Design, Functional Design, Detailed Design,

  • Construction/Traffic Management including Desktop and Implementation (onsite)

  • Pre-Opening, Post-Opening, Post Construction

  • Existing Conditions

  • Route Audits

Since record keeping commenced in 1925, there have been over 180,000
deaths on Australia's roads.
